Mountain Refuge

Mount Analog

"THE MOUNTAIN IS THE LINK BETWEEN THE EARTH
AND THE SKY.

ITS UNIQUE SUMMIT BELONGS TO THE
WORLD OF ETERNITY, AND ITS FOOT BRANCHES
CA IN MULTIPLE BUTTRESSES THAT I COLLECT
THEY ARE IN THE WORLD OF MORTALS.

IT'S HIM
A WAY BY WHICH MAN CAN
TO THE DIVINITY AND THE DIVINITY IS
YOU CAN REVEAL TO MAN"

René Daumal

The high mountain ecosystems present a beauty of great singularity due to the geoforms that are developed, where numerous cordilleran drawers, valleys and alluvial terraces stand out. San Gabriel is located next to the Maipo River, near its confluence with the Yeso and Volcán Rivers, so it controls the passes of a wide mountain range area (the most important is Paso del Portillo de Piuquenes), which is why a control post was established by the Carabineros de Chile. The assignment for this project was to make a proposal for a mountain refuge in the locality, since this hill is currently used for sports such as trekking, climbing and hiking.
It is recognized in the locality a detachment to its mountainous condition for being in the low part of the hill. The land by consolidating its location becomes a space of STEP - TRANSITION AND ASCENSION and it is through the act of contemplation of the DISTANCE that seeks to generate a state of introspection, translated into identity and belonging to this place, by abstracting and looking down from above.
